Overview
Library, profiles, and the Arsenal mod list interface.
Arsenal stores every imported mod in a shared Library, then lets you assemble those mods into one or more profiles. Each profile has its own membership, enable state, option selections, and load order.
You switch between these views from the sidebar, not from a toggle in the mod list toolbar.
Library
The Library is the full collection of mods Arsenal has imported. Open it with the Library button in the sidebar.
Use the Library to:
- Import new mods from folders, archives, Nexus Mods, or drag and drop
- See which profiles already use a mod
- Add mods to one or more profiles
- Check Nexus Mods for updates
- Permanently delete mods from disk
The Library does not enable or deploy mods. Deployment always happens from a profile.
Profile view
Each profile is a named configuration of your library. Click a profile icon in the sidebar to open it.
This is where you:
- Enable or disable mods with the row toggle
- Reorder mods (and separators) to control load priority
- Configure options for mods that support them
- Inspect file conflicts
- Deploy enabled mods into the Helldivers 2 game directory
- Launch the game
The header of the table shows the current profile as a badge (name plus optional image). Click the badge or its gear icon to duplicate, rename, change the image, or delete that profile. The Default profile cannot be renamed or deleted.
Toolbar
Both views share search, tag filters, separators, purge, and launch. Deploy is only available in a profile.
| Control | Library | Profile | Function |
|---|---|---|---|
| Filter | Yes | Yes | Filter the list by tags |
| Search | Yes | Yes | Find mods by name, description, UUID, or version |
| Add Separator | Yes | Yes | Create a visual divider in the current list |
| Add Mod | Yes | Yes | Import files or folders, open Nexus Mods, or (in a profile) pick from the Library |
| Purge | Yes | Yes | Remove deployed files from the game data folder |
| Deploy | No | Yes | Install the current profile's enabled mods |
| Run Game | Yes | Yes | Launch Helldivers 2 |
Mod list table
Each row is either a mod or a separator.
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Selection | Circle checkbox for multi-select. Hidden while a tag filter is active. |
| Index | Position in the current list. This is the load order in a profile. |
| Icon | Thumbnail, optional NEW badge, and (in a profile) deployment status. |
| Info | Label, description, and Nexus Mods metadata when available. |
| Actions | View-specific buttons. See Actions. |
Profile rows
| Control | Action |
|---|---|
| Toggle | Enable or disable the mod for this profile. Only enabled mods deploy. |
| Conflicts | Opens conflict details when Arsenal has found overlapping patch files. Hidden otherwise. |
| Download update | Shown when a newer Nexus Mods file is known. Becomes Install after that download finishes. |
| Check for updates | Queries Nexus Mods for a newer file. Disabled when the mod has no Nexus Mods identity. |
| Options | Opens option / sub-option selection. Disabled when the mod has no options. |
| More (three dots) | Dropdown of extra actions |
Click the pencil next to a label to rename the mod. The new name is stored in the Library and appears in every profile.
Hover the icon and click the eye overlay to preview the thumbnail at full size.
Library rows
| Control | Action |
|---|---|
| Download update / Check for updates | Same Nexus Mods flow as in a profile |
| Add to profiles | Attach this Library mod to one or more profiles |
| Open folder | Reveal files on disk |
| Delete | Permanent Library delete (confirmation required) |
Library rows have no enable toggle, options button, or conflict button.
Deployment status
In a profile, the ring around the icon reports deploy state:
| Ring | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | Deployed and unchanged. No pending profile changes. |
| Yellow / orange | Deployed, but the profile changed since the last deploy (needs redeploy). |
| Red | Not currently deployed. |
Newly imported mods also show a NEW badge until you hover the row.
Nexus Mods metadata
When a mod was installed through Nexus Mods, the info column can show:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Version | Installed file version |
| Date | Release date of that file (format follows Settings) |
| Link | Opens the Nexus Mods page |
Keyboard shortcuts
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
Ctrl + F | Focus search and select the current query |
Escape | Clear search and unfocus (when the field is focused) |
Shift + click | Select a range of mods between the last clicked row and the current one |
First-run tutorial
On first use, Arsenal can walk through Library import, the download panel, profiles, separators, enable, deploy, and launch. You can replay that tutorial from Settings > Mod Management.
